Job Summary

The Structural Engineer Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) is responsible for the effective coordination, management, and
control of all temporary works activities on the project, ensuring compliance with applicable standards,
company procedures, and project requirements.
The role involves coordinating with construction teams, designers, subcontractors, and consultants;
preparing and implementing temporary works procedures; maintaining registers and documentation; and
ensuring that all temporary works are properly designed, checked, approved, constructed, inspected,
monitored, and dismantled in accordance with certified designs and approved procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, implement, and maintain the project Temporary Works Procedure in accordance with
company standards and project requirements.
• Identify and classify temporary works requirements according to their complexity and risk,
ensuring appropriate design, checking, approval, and inspection arrangements.

• Establish, maintain, and regularly update the Temporary Works Register.
• Coordinate the preparation and review of Temporary Works Design Briefs, ensuring that all
relevant technical information, construction sequences, loading conditions, and interfaces with
permanent works are adequately addressed.
• Coordinate with Temporary Works Designers (TWDs), Design Checkers (TWDCs), suppliers, and
subcontractors to ensure that designs are properly reviewed, checked, and approved before
implementation, including independent checking and third-party approvals where required.

• Oversee TWS activities to ensure adequate site supervision and inspection.
• Review temporary worksrelated Method Statements and ensure that Risk Assessments, Inspection
and Test Plans (ITPs), and required hold points are established and implemented.
• Ensure that temporary works materials are suitable and inspected, and that installations comply

with certified designs, approved drawings, specifications, and construction sequences.
• Coordinate the preparation and implementation of temporary works inspection checklists, site
inspections, monitoring, and maintenance activities, ensuring that inspection records are

maintained and identified defects or non-conformances are properly addressed.
• Manage the temporary works permit process, ensuring that Permits to Load, Unload, Use, and

Dismantle are issued by authorized signatories only after the required inspections, checks, and
approvals have been completed.
• Manage changes to temporary works designs, materials, and construction methodologies, ensuring
that all proposed modifications are reviewed, checked, and approved by the relevant parties
before implementation.
• Coordinate all temporary works activities undertaken by the main contractor and subcontractors,
ensuring effective communication, timely resolution of technical issues, and proper management
of temporary works interfaces.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 3 years in temporary
works coordination or management.
• Proven experience on major infrastructure projects involving roads, bridges, underpasses, tunnels,
or major concrete structures.
• Strong technical knowledge of temporary works systems, including formwork, falsework,
scaffolding, excavation support, structural shoring and propping, working platforms, and
temporary structural supports.
• Working knowledge of BS 5975, applicable Saudi Building Codes, and temporary works design,
inspection, and permit procedures.
• Strong organizational, technical problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills, with the
ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary construction teams, designers, subcontractors, and
consultants.
• Previous experience in temporary works design and/or design checking would be an advantage


⚠️ Important Requirement:

This is a supplier-based position with a competitive salary package.

Iqama transfer is not available. Contract will be through Ajeer.
