POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication Workshop Supervisor to manage daily workshop production, manpower, quality, safety and delivery of structural and architectural steel works. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, drawing knowledge and practical Gulf workshop experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and supervise cutting, drilling, fitting, welding, grinding, assembly, painting, packing and dispatch activities.
• Allocate work to fabricators, welders, fitters, helpers and painters; monitor productivity and attendance.
• Read and interpret structural, architectural and fabrication drawings, shop drawings, cutting lists and welding symbols.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement, Site and Project teams to maintain the approved schedule.

• Inspect dimensions, alignment, levels, fit-up, weld quality, holes, connections and overall workmanship.
• Control material identification, storage, usage and wastage; reduce rework and production delays.
• Enforce HSE procedures, PPE, hot-work controls, lifting safety, housekeeping and equipment-safe operating practices.
• Prepare daily production/progress reports and identify manpower, material, maintenance and equipment requirements.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 15 years of relevant steel fabrication experience, including supervisory or foreman-level responsibility.
• Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience in a steel fabrication or construction workshop.
• Strong leadership and manpower-management capability with a firm, fair and proactive approach.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and the ability to review, explain and implement technical drawings.
• Practical knowledge of structural steel, platforms, ladders, handrails, stairs, canopies, frames, brackets and miscellaneous metal works.
• Knowledge of workshop machinery, welding, fabrication tolerances, QA/QC inspections and safe work practices.
• Technical diploma, trade certificate or equivalent qualification is preferred; English communication is required.
ADDED ADVANTAGES & PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Arabic, GCC driving licence and experience with galvanising/painting works are advantageous. Performance will be measured by on-time production, workmanship, reduced rework and wastage, effective manpower utilisation, safety compliance, accurate reporting and timely dispatch
