Description

1. Daily Site Leadership & Safety

• Pre-Task Briefings: Lead Daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and review Job Safety Analyses (JSA) with crew members to highlight hazards like high-pressure hydraulics and pinch points.
• Permit Management: Obtain and close out daily Permits to Work (PTW) and isolation certificates before any mechanical work begins.
• Crew Supervision: , bolt torquing technicians on daily basis

2. Flange Management & Technical Execution

• Joint Integrity Quality Control: Inspect flange faces for defects, alignment, and gaps before assembly. Ensure the correct gasket type and material are being deployed.
• Torque & Tension Sequencing: Enforce strict adherence to approved tightening sequences (e.g., star patterns or legacy cross-bolting methods) using proper lubricants to reduce friction variance.
• Equipment Oversight: Supervise the correct setup and handling of heavy manual torque wrenches, hydraulic torque equipment, and multi-stud bolt tensioning systems.

3. QA/QC & Engineering Compliance

• Data Verification: Extract specified torque values from engineering tables and isometric drawings, verifying calculations match the ASME PCC-1 guidelines.
• Equipment Calibration Checks: Verify that all hydraulic power packs and pressure gauges carry valid, up-to-date calibration certificates before field use.
• Final Sign-Off: Complete and sign Flange Inspection Reports and Final Torque Reports (FTR), creating a traceable paper trail for every critical joint.

4. Progress Reporting & Client Liaison

• Daily Progress Tracking: Maintain shift logs documenting completed joints, outstanding work, and any mechanical issues encountered.
• Client Interface: Coordinate directly with the main contractor or client QA/QC inspectors for final joint walk-downs and approval before hydrotesting phases begin.
