Description
Project Location: Fadhili
Duration: Long Time
Nationality: Indian.
• Code & Specification Review: Verify compliance with project drawings, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and standards such as ASME, AWS D1.1, or ISO.
• WPS & PQR Verification: Ensure the approved Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) are valid and available.
• Welder Qualification: Check Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) records to verify welders are certified for the specific process and position.
• Material & Consumable Inspection: Inspect base metals, heat numbers, filler wires, and electrodes (confirming proper storage, baking, and low-hydrogen handling).
• Joint Fit-Up & Preparation: Check bevel angle, root gap, high-low alignment, cleanliness, and tack welds.
• Equipment Calibration: Confirm valid calibration certificates for welding machines, gauges, and temperature-measuring tools.
