Job Summary
We are looking for a Transportation & Vehicle Coordinator to manage and coordinate transportation activities, vehicles, drivers, and material movements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe transportation of materials, equipment, and other requirements while maintaining effective coordination with drivers, transport companies, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
*Arrange trucks, trailers, pickup vehicles, and other transportation as required for daily operations.
*Coordinate with drivers, transport companies, and logistics service providers to ensure timely availability of vehicles.
*Plan and coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and other cargo between locations.
*Ensure proper loading, unloading, securing, and transportation of materials in accordance with safety requirements.
*Monitor vehicle movements and delivery status and provide regular updates to relevant departments.
*Follow up on scheduled pickups and deliveries and take corrective action in case of delays or transportation issues.
*Coordinate with site, warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams regarding transportation requirements.
*Maintain records of vehicle assignments, trips, deliveries, and transportation activities.
*Verify transportation documents, delivery notes, trip sheets, and other relevant documentation.
*Coordinate with transporters regarding vehicle availability, breakdowns, delays, and replacement vehicles.
*Ensure vehicles assigned for transportation are suitable for the type and quantity of cargo.
*Support the monitoring of vehicle utilization and transportation costs.
*Ensure compliance with company procedures, road safety requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
*Prepare transportation reports and maintain accurate records for management review.
*Perform other transportation and vehicle coordination duties as assigned.
Requirements
*Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.
*2–5 years of experience in transportation, fleet coordination, logistics, or a similar role.
*Experience coordinating trucks, trailers, drivers, and transportation companies.
*Good knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
*Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
*Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple transportation requirements simultaneously.
*Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
*Good command of English; Arabic communication skills will be an advantage.
*Valid Saudi driving license is an advantage.
Preferred Candidate
The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of coordinating multiple vehicles and deliveries efficiently. Experience in construction, engineering, oil & gas, industrial, or project-based environments will be highly preferred.
