About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer with strong expertise in cost estimation, rate analysis, tendering, and pricing strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects in the KSA region and possess thorough knowledge of GCC standards, specifications, and market rates.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works.
Perform rate analysis and develop competitive pricing strategies for tenders and bids.
Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost evaluations for MEP systems.
Coordinate with procurement teams to obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Analyze project costs and identify value engineering opportunities.
Maintain and update cost databases, market rates, and benchmarking records.
Ensure compliance with Gulf standards, local authority regulations, and project specifications.
Support project teams during tender submissions, negotiations, and post-award activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
8 to 12 years of proven experience in MEP cost estimation and rate analysis.
Strong knowledge of Gulf market rates, GCC construction standards, and pricing strategies.
Experience in pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with major contractors or MEP subcontractors in the GCC.
Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and commercial management practices.
Professional certifications will be an added advantage.
