Description

Site Project Engineer – Key Skills

Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
Ability to read and interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, method statements, BOQs, and technical documents.
Strong planning and scheduling skills, including daily/weekly look-ahead plans.
Good manpower, equipment, and material utilization skills.
Ability to coordinate with client, consultant, subcontractors, vendors, and other disciplines.
Strong problem-solving and quick decision-making capability at site.
Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspections, ITPs, RFIs, and NCRs.
Good understanding of HSE requirements, PTW systems, toolbox talks, and site safety controls.
Ability to monitor productivity, quantities, progress, and cost impact.
Good reporting and communication skills, with proficiency in Excel, MS Project/Primavera P6, and project documentation systems.
Key Responsibilities

Site Execution: Manage and supervise daily construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
Work Planning: Prepare daily and weekly work plans, define activity priorities, and ensure alignment with the approved project schedule and milestones.
Resource Management: Plan and efficiently utilize manpower, equipment, tools, and materials to achieve required productivity.
Technical Coordination: Resolve site technical issues and coordinate RFIs, drawings, material requirements, and interfaces between different disciplines.
Progress Monitoring: Measure daily quantities and productivity, compare actual versus planned progress, and initiate recovery actions for delays.
Material Control: Forecast material requirements and coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and suppliers to prevent construction delays.
Quality Control: Ensure work complies with approved ITPs and quality requirements and coordinate inspections with QA/QC and the client/consultant.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with project HSE requirements and that necessary permits, risk assessments, and safety precautions are in place before starting work.
Client & Subcontractor Coordination: Coordinate site activities with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, client representatives, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Reporting: Prepare accurate daily/weekly progress reports covering planned vs. achieved quantities, manpower, equipment, constraints, safety, quality, and required management actions.
