JOB PURPOSE:
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and inspecting construction activities to ensure that works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, project requirements, and Afniah standards. The role supports safe, compliant, and timely project delivery through effective site supervision, technical coordination, quality monitoring, and accurate reporting.
SKILLS:
• Strong site supervision and inspection skills.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of engineering codes, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify construction, quality, and safety issues.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software and systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering field from a recognized institution. Relevant professional engineering certification or registration is advantageous.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three (5-7) years of professional experience in site engineering, construction supervision, project supervision, or related engineering activities, preferably within an engineering consultancy or construction environment.
