Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Position Overview
Nexa Arabian Ventures is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Technician specializing in industrial automation systems, electronics repair, and field service support. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automation equipment, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), PLC systems, industrial electronics, and associated control systems to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
• The Industrial Electronics Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and testing industrial electronic equipment, including VFDs, VSDs, servo drives, PCB boards, power supplies, UPS systems, PLCs, HMIs, DCS, BMS, and motor control systems.
• Install, commission, and configure VFD systems for motors and industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and communication faults in VFD equipment.
• Diagnosing motor performance issues related to drive parameters and settings.
• Monitor and analyze drive performance to ensure efficient operation.
• Conduct testing using multimeters, insulation testers, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
• Calibrate and adjust VFD parameters according to process requirements.
• Replace defective components such as power modules, capacitors, cooling fans, and control boards.
• Ensure proper grounding, cable termination, and EMC compliance during installation.
• Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Assist in spare parts management and inventory control for VFD equipment.
• The technician will also provide on-site technical support, attend breakdowns and emergency calls, coordinate with clients and engineering teams, maintain proper documentation, and ensure full compliance with safety and operational standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or Equivalent Experience in: Electrical / Electronic Engineering/Mechatronics / Industrial Automation
• Minimum 5–10 years of hands-on experience in: Electronics repair & troubleshooting of Industrial automation systems
• Knowledge of VFD brands such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Danfoss, Yaskawa, Allen-Bradley, and Mitsubishi.
• Understanding of AC/DC motors, power electronics, and motor control systems.
• Familiarity with PLCs, industrial communication networks (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of industrial safety and electrical standards.
