Description
A leading company in the lighting manufacturing industry is looking for a Quality Lab Test Specialist to join its Quality Department in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Position: Quality Lab Test Specialist
Department: Quality
Location: Factory – Test Laboratory, Dammam
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and type testing of finished lighting fixtures in accordance with applicable standards.
Conduct random sampling and testing from production lines.
Prepare and issue accurate laboratory test reports and maintain complete test records.
Operate and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
Manage equipment calibration schedules, certificates, and calibration status.
Report non-conformities and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain laboratory safety, housekeeping, documentation, and quality requirements.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
2–5 years of relevant experience.
Previous experience working in a testing laboratory is preferred.
Hands-on experience with lighting testing equipment, including:
Integrating Sphere
Goniophotometer
Power / Electrical Parameter Analyzers
HiPot Tester
Insulation Resistance Tester
IP Ingress Protection Testing Facilities
Knowledge of IEC 60598, IEC 60529, IEC 61347, LM-79 and LM-80.
Experience with IEC 60079 / IECEx testing for explosion-proof luminaires is highly preferred.
Familiarity with the IECEE CB Scheme, SASO requirements, SABER/SALEEM and SASO IECEE CoC is an advantage.
Good technical reporting and documentation skills.
Good knowledge of MS Excel; ERP/Odoo experience is preferred.
Good communication skills.
Candidates with relevant experience in lighting products, electrical testing laboratories, luminaire manufacturing, or product certification/testing are encouraged to apply.
