Job description

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer with a strong background in MEP Procurement to join our Team. This role is critical to ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven procurement of all MEP Materials including HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Instrumentation, Piping, BMS, Direct and Indirect procurements.

Key Responsibilities

Material Sourcing & Procurement: Identify, evaluate, and procure all materials including but not limited to: HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Instrumentation, Piping, BMS, Direct and Indirect Materials.

Supplier Management: Develop and maintain a robust vendor database in KSA. Pre-qualify new suppliers, negotiate frame agreements, and manage long-term partnerships with local and international manufacturers.

Tendering & Cost Control: Prepare RFQs, analyze technical/commercial bids, and issue purchase orders in alignment with project budgets and schedules. Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

Technical Compliance: Prepare material submittals against project specifications, Proficient in NMR Documentations, Aramco/Sabic Standards, and SASO standards. Coordinate with the technical/engineering team to ensure material approvals from consultants.

Logistics & Delivery: Monitor production and shipping schedules to ensure on-site delivery aligns with construction milestones. Expedite critical items and resolve any supply chain disruptions.

Inventory & Quality: Coordinate with site stores and QA/QC to inspect incoming materials and handle non-conformance reports (NCRs) with suppliers.

Market Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and new products available in the KSA market.

Skills
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years procurement/supply chain experience in Saudi Arabia working with a main contractor or reputable MEP subcontractor.

Material Knowledge: Deep understanding of materials, their technical properties, lead times, and cost structures.

Local Market Expertise: Proven network of local suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.

Software Skills: Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Language: Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is a strong advantage.
