Description
Position: Planning Engineer
Location: Saudi Arabia
Project: Saudi Aramco Construction Project
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a Planning Engineer specialized in Mechanical disciplines to support our projects in the Oil & Gas industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules using PRIMAVERA software, ensuring timely execution and coordination among various departments.
The role includes interfacing with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop detailed work plans and identify potential schedule risks or delays. The Planning Engineer will also assist in progress reporting and schedule analysis to support effective decision-making.
Requirements:
*Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Industrial or related field).
*Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Planning Engineer in construction projects.
*Previous Saudi Aramco project experience is mandatory/preferred.
*Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
*Experience in preparing and maintaining baseline schedules, detailed project schedules, and look-ahead schedules.
*Strong knowledge of project progress monitoring, schedule updating, critical path analysis, and delay analysis.
*Ability to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, S-curves, manpower histograms, and other planning reports.
*Experience coordinating with Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, and subcontractors.
*Good knowledge of construction activities, project milestones, resource planning, and productivity monitoring.
*Ability to identify delays and prepare recovery / mitigation plans.
*Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
*Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
*Valid Saudi driving license is an advantage.
Important:
✅ Candidates must have Saudi Arabia construction experience.
✅ Aramco project experience is highly preferred.
✅ Open for candidates available for Kafala transfer.
✅ Candidates currently in Saudi Arabia are preferred.
