Role Description
The Planning & Cost Control Engineer role a full-time, on-site position based in Al Khobar. The engineer will develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and align timelines with project milestones and deliverables. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring project costs, preparing cost reports, analyzing variances, and supporting budget forecasts to ensure projects remain within approved financial limits. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and finance teams to gather data, validate cost information, and recommend corrective actions. The engineer will also help refine project control procedures, support risk assessments, and contribute to improving planning and cost management practices across projects.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in MEP planning/project controls.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Good knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience in cost control and project monitoring.
- Strong understanding of resource planning and management.
- Ability to prepare and monitor project schedules, progress reports, and performance updates.
- Experience in major construction/hospitality projects is preferred.
