Description
Required: Offsider for Maaden Drilling site
A driller’s offsider (also known as a driller’s assistant) works as the main hands-on support for a machine driller in the mining, exploration, or civil construction industries.
Core Responsibilities
* Handling Rods and Gear: Loading, unloading, coupling, and uncoupling heavy drill rods, core barrels, and equipment.
* Core and Sample Management: Pulling core tubes, shaking rock samples into trays or bags, labeling boxes, and cleaning core samples.
* Rig Setup and Maintenance: Assisting with mobilizing and demobilizing (moving, setting up, and packing down) the drill rig, cleaning the workspace, and doing basic mechanical upkeep.
* Fluid and Site Support: Mixing and managing drilling muds/fluids, dragging hoses, filling water tanks, and running support equipment.
* Safety: Monitoring the site, keeping the area clear of hazards, and ensuring safe operations around heavy machinery
