Mechanical Equipment QC Inspector – Offshore Hook-Up Campaign
Location: Offshore, Saudi Arabia
Project: Offshore Hook-Up Campaign
Duration: Project-based
Availability: Immediate mobilization preferred
Key Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections of mechanical equipment during offshore hook-up activities.
Inspect the installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of rotating and static equipment.
Verify equipment installation against approved drawings, specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and project quality requirements.
Inspect pumps, compressors, vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, valves, piping-related equipment, and mechanical packages.
Review material certificates, equipment documentation, inspection reports, and vendor data books.
Witness equipment alignment, bolt tightening, grouting, lubrication, preservation, and functional testing.
Raise and follow up on inspection requests, punch-list items, and non-conformance reports until closure.
Coordinate with construction, commissioning, engineering, vendors, and client representatives.
Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, applicable international codes, and offshore HSE requirements.
Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports and complete quality records for final handover.
Requirements
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 7 years of relevant QA/QC inspection experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects.
Previous offshore hook-up and commissioning experience is mandatory.
Strong experience inspecting rotating and static mechanical equipment.
Saudi Aramco project experience and approval are preferred.
Good knowledge of relevant international codes, standards, ITPs, method statements, and quality procedures.
Valid offshore certifications, including BOSIET/FOET, H2S, and Offshore Medical.
Good English communication and reporting skills.
Candidates available for immediate mobilization will be given preference.
