Job Description – Mechanical Engineer / Fabrication Supervisor & 2D AutoCAD Designer
Sam Al-Asri Company Ltd. is looking for 1 experienced candidate to join our Container Modification & Fabrication Yard in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
We are looking for a candidate with practical knowledge of mechanical engineering, container modification, fabrication, workshop supervision, and 2D AutoCAD drafting.
Position: Mechanical Engineer / Fabrication Supervisor & 2D AutoCAD Designer
Location: Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia
Experience: 3–5 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop practical fabrication and container modification ideas.
- Prepare 2D drawings using AutoCAD for fabrication and modification works.

- Supervise and manage fabricators and workshop activities.
- Understand fabrication methods, materials, measurements, and site requirements.
- Coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure work is completed correctly.
- Monitor progress and ensure client orders are completed on time.
- Coordinate with clients and understand their technical requirements.
- Check quality and finishing of completed fabrication works.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering / fabrication / workshop supervision.
- Good practical knowledge of container modification and steel fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of 2D AutoCAD drafting.
- Ability to manage and supervise fabricators.
- Good problem-solving and technical skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of Arabic and Tamil.
- Valid Iqama or transferable Iqama.
- Driving license is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Preference will be given to Tamil-speaking candidates.
