Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in pipeline engineering for oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, construction support, inspection, and maintenance of onshore and/or offshore pipeline systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design and review pipeline systems for oil and gas transmission and distribution projects.
Prepare mechanical design calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
Perform pipeline stress analysis, wall thickness calculations, and material selection.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and clients.
Review vendor documents, technical drawings, and engineering deliverables.
Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
Conduct inspections, failure investigations, and integrity assessments.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including ASME, API, and ISO.
Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, and safety reviews.
Provide technical support for maintenance and asset integrity programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5–10 years of experience in pipeline engineering within the oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 5L, API 1104, and related international standards.
Experience with pipeline design software and engineering tools.
Familiarity with pipeline construction, welding, hydrotesting, and commissioning.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Experience with EPC projects.
Knowledge of pipeline integrity management.
Familiarity with corrosion protection and cathodic protection systems.
Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
