Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our Riyadh, KSA office.

Role Summary
Oversee mechanical engineering works on site, resolve issues, and ensure work is completed to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Negotiate the best prices for mechanical works from subcontractors
Supervise mechanical subcontractors on site and monitor their resources (manpower, tools, machinery, materials)
Coordinate mechanical works through design development, contract documentation, and execution
Liaise with local authorities, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders
Enforce workplace safety standards
Advise the project team on technical issues and long-lead items that could affect progress
Review the contractor’s construction schedule and shop drawings (with the architectural team) and report to the Project Manager

Review mechanical drawings for local authority compliance before submission
Maintain mechanical documentation in line with the project handbook and produce daily progress reports
Attend project progress, MEP design, and internal team meetings; call meetings to resolve site issues and avoid delays
Coordinate with other disciplines (Civil, MEP, Finishing) based on work sequence and dependencies
Prepare HAP, static pressure, and pump head calculations for chilled water and water supply systems
Develop design drawings independently in AutoCAD; knowledge of BIM

Candidate Requirements

5–8 years of relevant mechanical experience, preferably in the hospitality sector
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical works and general MEP works
Good knowledge of material and subcontracting costs for estimation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
