Machinist – Power Plant Workshop (Saudi Arabia)
Location: Saudi Arabia
Industry: Power Generation / Workshop Operations
Salary: Basic SAR 4,000
Working Schedule: 5 days/week, 8 hours/day

About the Role
We are urgently hiring an experienced Machinist for our power plant workshop to handle precision machining and fabrication of mechanical components. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in gearboxes, pumps, shafts, couplings, and sleeves, along with proven skill in material built-up, lathe corrections, and metallic/non-metallic turning and fabrication work.
Key Responsibilities
Perform precision machining on gearboxes, pumps, shafts, couplings, and sleeves
Carry out material built-up and lathe correction work on worn/damaged components
Execute metallic and non-metallic turning and fabrication jobs
Cut internal and external threads on mechanical components to required tolerances
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for machining jobs
Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and quality
Maintain machines, tools, and workshop equipment in safe working condition
Follow plant safety procedures (LOTO, PTW, PPE) during all workshop activities
Maintain job records and material usage documentation
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Machinist, preferably in a power plant or heavy industrial workshop
Strong practical knowledge of lathe machines, milling machines, and related workshop equipment
Proven experience in gearbox, pump, shaft, coupling, and sleeve machining/repair
Skilled in thread cutting (internal/external) and material built-up techniques
Ability to work with both metallic and non-metallic materials
Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
Willingness to work in shift/plant environment
Basic English communication skills
