Senior Part-Time Odoo Governance & Recovery Lead

Alrouf Lighting is looking for a senior part-time Odoo expert to help audit, stabilize, and improve our current Odoo setup.

This is not a basic Odoo support role.

We need someone who truly understands Odoo as a business operating system, including:

* Access Rights
* Groups
* ACLs
* Record Rules
* CRUD permissions
* Accounting controls
* Sales / CRM workflows
* Inventory and warehouse controls
* Purchase workflow
* Product master governance
* Approval authority
* UAT
* Staging before production
* Backup and rollback
* Documentation and user training

Current Situation

We have an existing Odoo setup across Sales, Accounting, Purchase, Inventory, Products, Contacts, and other business areas.

We need a senior consultant to review the current setup, identify permission and workflow risks, and redesign the system into a safe, controlled, and scalable Odoo operating model.

The main challenge is not only configuration. The main challenge is making sure the right people have the right access, with proper controls, approvals, and testing.

Key Responsibilities

* Audit current Odoo users, groups, access rights, ACLs, and record rules.
* Review current permissions and identify over-access / under-access risks.
* Design proper Odoo role and permission matrix.
* Define CRUD access by role.
* Design record rules for branch, team, customer, warehouse, and sensitive data scope.
* Review Sales, CRM, Accounting, Purchase, Inventory, Products, and Contacts workflows.
* Help separate duties between Sales, Finance, Warehouse, Procurement, HR, and Admin.
* Design authority matrix for quotations, sales orders, purchase orders, inventory adjustments, product master, certificates, payment terms, and margin exceptions.
* Prepare staging and UAT plan before any production changes.
* Create test users and UAT scenarios.
* Prepare rollback and production cutover checklist.
* Build or specify management dashboards and control reports.
* Document the final governance model.
* Train internal users and hand over knowledge.

Required Experience

* 5+ years hands-on Odoo experience.
* Strong knowledge of Odoo access rights, groups, ACLs, and record rules.
* Experience with Odoo Sales, CRM, Accounting, Purchase, Inventory, Products, and Contacts.
* Ability to design secure permissions, not just configure screens.
* Strong understanding of segregation of duties.
* Experience with staging, UAT, rollback, and production cutover.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
* Ability to work part-time with weekly progress updates.

Strong Plus

* Odoo Enterprise experience.
* Multi-branch or multi-warehouse experience.
* B2B/project sales experience.
* Manufacturing/MRP experience.
* GCC/KSA experience.
* Arabic language is a plus.
* API / service-user governance experience.
* AI/read-only reporting governance awareness.

Engagement

* Part-time consulting role.
* Initial engagement: 3 months.
* Expected workload: 8–12 hours/week or 30–50 hours/month.
* Remote / hybrid.
* Weekly progress meeting required.
