Job Summary
The Land Surveyor is responsible for conducting land and construction surveys to establish property boundaries, site layouts, elevations, and control points. The role ensures that all surveying activities are performed accurately and in accordance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
Establish survey control points, benchmarks, and reference lines.
Perform setting out for foundations, buildings, roads, pipelines, and other civil works.
Operate surveying instruments such as Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and Digital Level.
Prepare survey reports, calculations, sketches, and as-built drawings.
Verify dimensions, elevations, and coordinates according to engineering drawings.
Coordinate with project engineers, construction supervisors, and QA/QC personnel.
Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
Assist in quantity verification and progress measurements when required.
Identify and report discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
Surveying certification is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects.
Experience with industrial projects and Saudi Arabia/GCC projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficient in using Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level, and Digital Level.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey data processing software.
Ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings.
Strong understanding of coordinate systems, leveling, and traversing.
Familiarity with survey calculations and as-built documentation.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Requirements
Valid GCC/Saudi driving license (preferred).
Experience working on Saudi Aramco, SABIC, or major EPC projects is an advantage.
Good knowledge of HSE requirements and site safety practices.
