Description
We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer with experience in oil and gas pipeline projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of civil works related to onshore pipeline systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and review civil works for pipeline projects, including grading, drainage, road crossings, and foundations.
Conduct route assessments, site investigations, and geotechnical evaluations.
Prepare civil engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Coordinate with pipeline, mechanical, structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering teams.
Support construction activities, including earthworks, trenching, backfilling, and reinstatement.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure work complies with project requirements and quality standards.
Review construction drawings, method statements, and technical submittals.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, local regulations, and international standards.
Participate in site inspections, progress meetings, and risk assessments.
Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
5–10 years of experience in civil engineering for oil and gas pipeline projects.
Strong knowledge of pipeline civil design, earthworks, drainage, and utility crossings.
Experience with international codes and standards relevant to pipeline civil works.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering software.
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Experience on EPC pipeline projects.
Knowledge of geotechnical engineering and surveying.
Familiarity with GIS and route selection studies.
Experience working on cross-country pipelines and remote construction sites.
