Job Title: Warehouse In-Charge – Furniture Retail
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Department: Operations / Supply Chain
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse In-Charge to oversee daily warehouse operations for a furniture retail business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in furniture warehousing, inventory control, ERP-based stock management, and team supervision.
The role requires effective management of receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, stock accuracy, and warehouse organization, with a focus on safe handling of bulky and high-value furniture products. Experience with Odoo ERP and warehouse layout optimization is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
- Manage daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of furniture items.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of bulky, fragile, and high-value products.
- Coordinate deliveries and shipments with procurement, logistics, showroom, and e-commerce teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
2. Warehouse Organization & Layout
- Maintain an organized warehouse with efficient space utilization.
- Optimize product locations for easy access, picking, and dispatch.
- Assist with warehouse layout improvements, restructuring, or relocation activities.
3. Inventory & ERP Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and inventory reconciliations.
- Monitor damaged, aging, and slow-moving stock and report discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate barcode scanning, stock transfers, and inventory transactions.
4. Team Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate a team of 5–6 warehouse employees.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity, attendance, and work quality.
- Train employees on warehouse procedures, product handling, and safety practices.
5. Process Improvement & Safety
- Follow and implement warehouse SOPs and operational procedures.
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Ensure proper furniture handling and compliance with warehouse safety procedures.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Experience in furniture retail, home décor, or bulky-item warehousing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, receiving, picking, and dispatch.
- Experience with ERP systems; Odoo ERP experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to supervise and coordinate warehouse staff.
- Knowledge of warehouse organization, space utilization, and barcode-based inventory tracking.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and warehouse inventory reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse layout planning, relocation, or restructuring.
- Familiarity with ERP-based warehouse workflows and inventory SOPs.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with procurement, logistics, showroom, and sales teams.
