Description
Key Responsibilities
• Operate forklifts in designated terminal, warehouse, workshop, and storage areas.
• Move and position cargo, pallets, spare parts, equipment, and operational materials.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and delivery vehicles.
• Safely transport materials between warehouses, workshops, operational areas, and designated storage locations.
• Perform pre-start inspections covering forks, mast, tyres, brakes, steering, hydraulics, warning devices, lights, and other safety-critical components.
• Report forklift defects immediately and remove unsafe equipment from service.
• Follow designated traffic routes, pedestrian segregation requirements, speed limits, and terminal traffic-management procedures.
• Ensure loads are within the forklift's rated capacity and properly secured before movement.
• Position materials accurately without damaging cargo, containers, infrastructure, or other equipment.
• Assist maintenance teams with movement of heavy spare parts and equipment when required.

Cross-cultural training
• Maintain proper housekeeping around forklift operating areas.
• Complete equipment inspection and operational checklists.
• Follow terminal HSE, PPE, lifting, and cargo-handling procedures at all times.
Requirements
• Valid Forklift Operator License/Certification is mandatory.
• Previous forklift operating experience in a container terminal, port, warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment preferred.
• Practical knowledge of forklift safety and load-handling procedures.
• Good safety awareness and ability to follow operational instructions.
