Role Description the Electrical BIM Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Khobar, responsible for developing and managing detailed electrical Building Information Models for various projects. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating coordinated electrical BIM models, preparing and reviewing electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics, and collaborating closely with MEP, architectural, and civil teams to ensure design consistency and clash-free integration. The role involves supporting design reviews, maintaining BIM standards, and assisting in the preparation of construction documents and technical reports. The Electrical BIM Engineer also participates in project meetings, ensures compliance with applicable codes and regulations, and contributes to continuous improvement of BIM processes and workflows.
Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for electrical systems.
• Experience preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings, including electrical layouts and details.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) coordination in multidisciplinary projects.
• Understanding of Architecture and Civil Engineering concepts as they relate to integrated building design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and best practices for building electrical systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience with common BIM and CAD software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD) is highly beneficial.
• Prior experience in construction or engineering consultancy environments is an advantage.
• Experience using Revit for electrical systems.
• Advanced English skills.
