Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Architect Engineer to lead and manage a consultant office and oversee architectural and engineering activities for projects in Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate must have strong practical experience with Saudi Municipality procedures and requirements, as well as Royal Commission regulations, standards, approvals, and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the consultant office, coordinating with government authorities, consultants, contractors, and clients, and ensuring that projects comply with all applicable regulations and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the consultant office and its architectural/engineering team.
Oversee architectural design, technical documentation, and project coordination.
Manage submissions, approvals, permits, and correspondence with relevant Municipal authorities.
Coordinate and follow up on Royal Commission requirements, approvals, permits, and technical procedures.
Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi building codes, regulations, standards, and authority requirements.
Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, reports, and technical submissions.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and government authorities.
Attend technical meetings and represent the consultant office professionally before clients and authorities.
Monitor project progress, deliverables, and technical quality.
Identify potential design, approval, and construction issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
Supervise and guide architects, engineers, and technical staff.
Ensure that all authority submissions are accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines.
Maintain professional relationships with government authorities and other project stakeholders.
Support project management and senior management with technical and regulatory advice.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional experience in architectural/engineering consultancy, preferably within Saudi Arabia.
Proven experience dealing with Saudi Municipality procedures and approvals.
Proven experience dealing with Royal Commission procedures, requirements, and approvals.
Previous experience in a leadership or senior consultant-office management position.
Strong understanding of Saudi construction regulations, authority requirements, and approval processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of architectural drawings, technical documentation, specifications, and project coordination.
Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to represent the consultant office professionally before clients, authorities, and project stakeholders.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant architectural/engineering software is preferred.
Good command of English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on architectural professional and experienced consultant-office leader who understands not only design and technical requirements but also the practical process of obtaining approvals and coordinating with Saudi authorities.
Experience working directly with Municipal authorities and the Royal Commission is highly desirable and will be considered an important requirement for this position.
