How long did your Iqama sponsorship transfer actually take, realistically?

In the middle of a sponsorship transfer between employers right now and it's been about three weeks with no update. HR keeps saying it's 'in process' but I don't have great visibility into what that actually means or a normal timeline. For anyone who's been through this recently, how long did it realistically take start to finish, and were there any specific steps that tend to cause delays that I should be asking about directly?
