Description
Al Moallam Group is looking for vibration Technicians who are locally available and can join immediately. The candidates should have the following:
1. Job Summary
The Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the installation, calibration, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems used in industrial facilities. The role ensures that field instruments, control valves, transmitters, sensors, and related equipment operate accurately, safely, and in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and client requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, calibrate, test, and maintain industrial instrumentation and control equipment.
Perform calibration and troubleshooting of pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, gauges, switches, and sensors.
Maintain and repair control valves, positioners, actuators, solenoid valves, and other instrumentation devices.
Conduct loop checking, continuity testing, functional testing, and instrument signal verification.
Troubleshoot instrumentation faults in pneumatic, electronic, and electrical control systems.
Read and interpret P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, hook-up drawings, and instrument datasheets.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation systems to minimize equipment downtime.
Assist in commissioning, pre-commissioning, and start-up activities for instrumentation and control systems.
Verify instrument ranges, calibration settings, alarm settings, and control-system interfaces according to approved specifications.
Use calibration equipment such as pressure calibrators, multifunction calibrators, HART communicators, and digital multimeters.
Maintain calibration certificates, inspection reports, maintenance records, and instrument history documentation.
Coordinate with instrument engineers, control room operators, electrical technicians, and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
Ensure all instruments and tools are handled, stored, and maintained properly.
Comply with permit-to-work procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Follow client standards, approved work procedures, and applicable quality requirements.
3. Qualifications
Diploma or technical certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline.
Relevant technical training or certification in instrument calibration and maintenance is an advantage.
4. Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Instrumentation Technician in an industrial environment.
Experience in installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instruments and control valves.
Familiarity with industrial process control systems and instrumentation maintenance procedures.
Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, power plant, or other industrial facilities is preferred.
Experience working under client-specific safety and maintenance procedures is an advantage.
