Supply Demand Planning Manager

Key Responsibilities
 Demand Forecasting: Build and improve statistical forecasting models using
sales history, market trends, and seasonal patterns. Analyze past sales data, market
trends, and seasonal shifts to predict future product demand.
 Supply & Inventory Optimization: Match demand forecasts with manufacturing
and supplier capacity to maintain optimal stock levels. Analyze past sales data, market

 S&OP Leadership: Lead Sales and Operations Planning meetings to create a
unified consensus plan across sales, finance, and operations. Run Sales and

supply risks.
 Performance Tracking: Monitor key metrics like forecast accuracy, fill rates, and

 Team Management: Mentor, train, and guide subordinate planners to improve
reliability.
 Work with sales and marketing: Gather insights on upcoming promotions, product
launches, or client changes
 Coordinate with supply chain: Share demand numbers so procurement and
production teams buy the right amount of materials.
 Lead S&OP meetings: Run Sales and Operations Planning sessions to align company
departments on a single operational plan
Inventory and Strategy Management
 Optimize stock: Balance inventory levels to prevent product shortages or
excess holding costs.
 Manage risk: Spot supply chain bottlenecks or demand spikes early and create
backup plans.
 Lead the team: Manage daily operations, mentor junior planners, and upgrade
forecasting tools or processes
Requirements & Qualifications
 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related
field.
 Experience: 8 to 10+ years of supply chain experience, with specific leadership
or managerial background in planning.
 Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle)
and advanced data analytics/Excel tools.
 Soft Skills: Strong cross-functional communication, problem-solving, and
leadership capabilities.
