Description

Position: Purchasing Officer

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–5 years of purchasing/procurement experience in the perfume, fragrance, cosmetics, or FMCG industry.
Strong knowledge of local and international sourcing, particularly from China, Europe, and the USA.
Experience in sourcing:
Fragrance oils and essential oils
Aroma chemicals
Packaging materials (glass bottles, caps, pumps, cartons, labels)
Raw materials and production consumables
Ability to negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with international suppliers.
Experience in handling import documentation, shipping coordination, customs clearance, and freight forwarding.
Strong understanding of supplier evaluation, vendor development, and contract management.
Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods from local and international suppliers.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships across China, Europe, and the USA.
Obtain quotations, compare costs, negotiate contracts, and issue purchase orders.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics providers for international shipments.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
Resolve supplier quality issues, delivery delays, and pricing discrepancies.
Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and supplier performance evaluations.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and continuity of supply.
Stay updated on market trends, raw material pricing, and new supplier developments within the fragrance and cosmetics industry.
