Description
Key Accountabilities
Prepare technical diagrams, calculations, and specification sheets.
Calculate the quantities of materials and equipment required.
Resolve planning and drafting issues and develop effective solutions.
Prepare shop drawings using CAD software and other drafting tools.
Prepare plans and detailed drawings for residential, commercial, and other construction projects based on sketches or notes.
Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical designs.
Review applicable codes, regulations, space and site requirements, and other technical documents.
Prepare maps, diagrams, profiles, cross-sections, and surveys to represent elevations and sections.
Print CAD drawings for use by architects, engineers, construction managers, and site teams.
Supervise and train technicians and junior draftsmen, when required.
Conduct site surveys, inspections, and technical investigations to collect information required to prepare or revise drawings.
Explain drawings to production and construction teams and make adjustments as necessary.
Review sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents to ensure compliance with the design requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Key Job Specifications
Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Experience: +10 years of related experience.
