Expeditor
Reporting To
Procurement Manager
Location
Project Site / Office (as assigned)
Contract Duration
Initial one-year assignment, subject to project requirements.
Job Purpose
The Expeditor will be responsible for expediting and monitoring supplier activities to ensure materials, equipment, and documentation are delivered in accordance with project schedules. The role is critical in mitigating supply chain delays and supporting fast-track EPC project execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor purchase orders from award through final delivery.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure adherence to approved manufacturing and delivery schedules.
• Track engineering submissions, vendor documentation, inspections, testing, and shipping milestones.
• Coordinate with suppliers, inspection agencies, logistics providers, and project teams.
• Identify schedule risks, delays, and bottlenecks, and proactively recommend corrective actions.
• Review supplier progress reports and manufacturing schedules.
• Maintain expediting logs and procurement status reports.
• Conduct supplier visits and progress meetings when required.
• Ensure timely submission of vendor documents, drawings, manuals, and certificates.
• Coordinate material readiness with logistics and site teams.
• Support project management through regular procurement and expediting updates.
• Escalate critical issues that may affect project milestones.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
• Relevant procurement or supply chain certifications are advantageous.
Experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience in expediting, procurement support, or supply chain roles with reputed EPC Contractors.
• Proven EPC project experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Infrastructure, or Industrial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supplier management, and logistics coordination.
• Experience with international vendors and overseas shipments
