Description
Key Responsibilities
• Process truck gate-in and gate-out transactions for import, export, empty, and transshipment containers.
• Verify truck registration, container number, booking/reference details, driver information, and required documentation.
• Confirm container details against the terminal operating system and relevant operational instructions.
• Record container and truck movements accurately in the Terminal Operating System (TOS).
• Verify container identification numbers and check container condition at the gate.
• Ensure required approvals, release instructions, bookings, and documentation are available before processing movements.
• Direct trucks to the appropriate lane or operational area according to terminal instructions.
• Coordinate with yard, planning, customer service, security, and transport teams regarding exceptions.
• Maintain accurate records of all gate transactions.
• Handle gate exceptions according to established terminal procedures.
Minimum Requirements
• Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Previous experience in container terminal gate operations, port operations, logistics, transport, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Experience using a Terminal Operating System (TOS) or logistics operating system is an advantage.
• Good computer and data-entry skills.
