Description

Role purpose: Manage electrical site activities to ensure safe execution, quality workmanship, efficient use of resources, and completion within the approved schedule and budget.

1. Plan and supervise site works: Manage MV/LV cable installation, duct banks, trenches, manholes, earthing, street lighting, RMUs, transformers, and substations within the assigned scope.
2. Review technical documents: Check approved drawings, specifications, and method statements; identify discrepancies and raise technical queries before execution.
3. Manage cable pulling: Verify route readiness, drum allocation, pulling equipment, cable bending radius, and allowable pulling tension to prevent cable damage.
4. Prepare activity schedules: Develop daily and weekly work plans, set measurable targets, and coordinate work fronts to achieve project milestones.
5. Optimize site resources: Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively; monitor productivity and minimize idle time, waste, and rework.
6. Coordinate with other disciplines: Resolve clashes with civil works and underground utilities, and coordinate access, permits, and inspections with the main contractor and relevant authorities.
7. Control materials: Verify material approvals, quantities, delivery dates, storage conditions, and availability before starting each activity.
8. Ensure quality and safety: Implement inspection and test plans, arrange inspections before backfilling or concealing works, and enforce excavation, lifting, cable pulling, and electrical safety requirements.
9. Support testing and commissioning: Coordinate cable testing, earthing tests, equipment checks, and termination inspections with qualified personnel; close defects before energization.
10. Report progress and complete handover: Maintain daily progress reports, installed quantities, resource records, site photographs, and delay records; prepare as-built drawings and support final handover documentation.
