About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Jubail. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in EPC environments and petrochemical/refinery plants, with deep knowledge of electrical design, power systems, and troubleshooting.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale industrial projects, from FEED through detailed engineering, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant electrical system design and execution.

Key Responsibilities
🔧 Engineering & Design
• Develop and review electrical design packages from FEED to detailed engineering.
• Design electrical systems ranging from 230kV, 34.5kV to 110V, including:
o GIS switchgear
o MCCs (Motor Control Centers)
o MV/LV motors and VSDs
o Transformers
o Protection relays
o Lighting and heat tracing systems
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
⚡ Power System Studies & Analysis
• Lead and review power system studies using ETAP, including:
o Load flow analysis
o Short circuit studies
o Motor starting studies
o Protective relay coordination
o Grounding and arc flash studies
🛠️ Technical Support & Troubleshooting
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical issues.
• Provide recommendations to prevent recurrence and improve system reliability.
• Support maintenance teams and optimize equipment performance.
📊 Project & Stakeholder Management
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Review vendor drawings and integrate into project designs.
• Support cost estimation, scope development, and material take-offs.
⚙️ Compliance & Standards
• Ensure all designs comply with international standards:
o NFPA 70 / 70E / 497
o ANSI / IEEE
o IEC
• Review electrical installations and permit applications.
• Support MOC (Management of Change) approvals.
🏗️ Field & Construction Support
• Participate in plant layout design ensuring constructability, operability, and safety.
• Oversee installation of electrical equipment in hazardous classified areas.
• Interface with field teams, contractors, and clients.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience in:
o EPC companies
o Petrochemical or refinery plants
• Strong background in electrical design and engineering.
• Proven experience in high-voltage and medium-voltage systems.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens, SEL, and GE protection relays (design & testing).
• Expertise in ETAP software for power system analysis.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and translate into electrical designs.
