Civil Hydraulic & Plumbing Technician – Retail Maintenance
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Experience: 3–5 years
We are looking for an experienced Hydraulic & Plumbing Technician to handle the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of plumbing and hydraulic systems across retail stores.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on domestic water supply, drainage, sewage, hydraulic piping, pumps, tanks, water heaters, valves, and plumbing fixtures.
Troubleshoot water leaks, blockages, pressure fluctuations, pump failures, and hydraulic system malfunctions.
Repair and replace pipes, valves, pumps, seals, fittings, faucets, flush valves, water closets, and drainage components.
Maintain booster, transfer, sump, and sewage pumps.
Perform pressure testing, leak detection, pipe repairs, and system flushing.
Maintain grease traps, floor drains, stormwater drainage systems, and related facilities.
Carry out tile replacement and minor related repair works when required.
Monitor pump pressure, flow rate, vibration, motor current, and water tank levels.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring failures.
Maintain CMMS records, inspection reports, and equipment history.
Maintain critical plumbing and hydraulic spare parts.
Respond promptly to emergency plumbing breakdowns to minimize disruption and water damage.
Coordinate with other maintenance teams during repairs and renovation activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable plumbing, health, safety, and company standards.
Requirements:
Diploma/Technical Certificate in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Systems, or related technical field.
3–5 years of plumbing and hydraulic maintenance experience, preferably in retail stores, supermarkets, hypermarkets, or commercial facilities.
Strong knowledge of water distribution, drainage, sewage, pump, and hydraulic piping systems.
Ability to read plumbing layouts, hydraulic schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
Experience with pressure gauges, flow meters, leak detection equipment, pipe threading machines, and hand/power tools.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with CMMS and maintenance documentation.
Knowledge of local plumbing codes and safety regulations is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and respond to emergency maintenance requirements.
