Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements, and supporting the organization's financial operations. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities
Record daily financial transactions accurately in the ERP/accounting system.
Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and journal entries.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Verify supplier invoices and prepare payment vouchers.
Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, and supplier statements.
Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate payment collections.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
Calculate and process employee reimbursements and expense claims.
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Ensure compliance with VAT, ZATCA, and other applicable financial regulations.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and sales departments for inventory and financial reconciliations.
Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile stock movements with accounting records.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications (SOCPA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Experience in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of VAT, ZATCA requirements, and Saudi financial regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Preferred Experience
Manufacturing or perfume industry experience.
Cost accounting and inventory accounting knowledge.
Experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
Knowledge of import/export financial documentation and LC transactions is an added advantage.
